Hi there!

If you are reading this, then that means that I AM BACK!

WooT!

Okay, well, I’ve still been here for the most part…I’ve been tweetin’ and I’ve been Dailymilin’, but the blog has been out of commission so I haven’t been able to post (not anything that could be read, anyway).

So what happened?  Apparently the fuckheads at my former webhost, Justhost (who I won’t link to because they suck), decided that I was using too much CPU space, so my account was suspended…without warning.  And yes, the bill was paid :-P . I didn’t know what was going on until I tried to check my email and couldn’t get in, then I saw the suspension notice in my hotmail inbox.  I don’t know how I was using too much CPU space (all I have is Wordpress running), and I don’t know how in the hell it matters when everything is “supposedly” unlimited, but it happened.

I spent several days playing email tag with Justhost trying to get the latest backup of my site, sending freaked out emails to a ton of people for help, trying to get everything situated on a new (and so far much better) webhost, Dreamhost, trying to get my domain name transferred (which took forever), and trying to reassure people on twitter that I haven’t left town.

It’s been fun (that was sarcasm).  It was really touchy for awhile, and I was afraid that I was going to lose EVERYTHING, but thankfully it’s all worked out.

I want to take a minute to thank everyone for your support, suggestions, for not ditchin’ me, etc…etc…especially Brandon for his help in trying to get me back on track (and for answering every stupid question I had), and SUPER ESPECIALLY Dreamhost customer support, who got sick of my stupid questions after awhile and did all the hard stuff for me.  WooT!  Seriously, they rock.

And to Justhost?  Fuck you…just, fuck you.

So welcome back to the show, my friends!  I’ve missed you all.  I knew this blog and you guys meant alot to me, but I didn’t realize just HOW MUCH until I lost it.  This past week has been hell, but you are all beyond awesome.

And since you are here, if you happen to come across anything that isn’t working correctly, please let me know and I’ll get it squared away (or make Dreamhost support do it, YAY!).   Everything should be good to go, but shit happens sometimes.  I also may be tweaking some things on the blog over the next few days, so some screwiness might be seen.  I meant to get alot of the work done before I came back online, but I got a little lazy (boo!).

That is all (I think). How in the hell have you all been?  Anything new and exciting go down while I was gone?

Hope you have a great day!

Ya’ll have met Brandon, right?

He is the President/CEO/God Emperor of So Long, Fat Ass, where he is telling about his weight loss journey, which includes a 29.6 pounds loss so far.  Awesomesauce.

He’s also from Alaska, which means he lives in an igloo and has a pet polar bear.

And it’s littertrained!

Anywho, Brandon has come up with a Weekend Warrior Challenge.  This is way we can all push to keep up the healthy lifestyle on the weekends, which is a time when alot of us let things go to shit.

The objective is to give 2-3 specific and measurable goals…and try to attain them this weekend.  We then report on Monday whether we passed (YAY!) or failed (BOO!).

I’m always up for a challenge, and the weekends are very hard for me in regards to healthy living, so I’m in.

And with that said, here are my 3 specific and measurable goals:

  • Run/walk/jog 20 miles this weekend. The sidewalks are clearing up so I’m hoping to get in at least one long walk this weekend, and maybe even throw in some running (OUTSIDE!). WooT!
  • Keep my calories at  2000 (or less) per day. I’m going to base this on the average over the weekend, if I go over a bit on Saturday then I try to make it up on Sunday.
  • Complete my 100pushup, 200situp, 200squat endurance tests. Each challenge is calling for an endurance test at the end of this week before I move on, so I’ll aim to knock them out this weekend.

Want to join in? Click HERE for more.

And while you’re at it…run on over to Kat’s Adventure in Dietland and check out the March Kick Some Asphalt Challenge.  And don’t forget the 28 Day Fitness Challenge from Nerdfitness.

Ass kicking opportunities abound!!  So exciting! :)

Progress Report: Week 21
Weight:  229.8 lbs
BMI: 33.4
Weight loss so far:  1.0 lbs lost since last week,  35.2 lbs lost total

Wow…really?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m super stoked…not only did I meet my Perfect 10 Goal of losing 15 pounds since 1/1/10, but I also blasted out of the 230s and am now in 220land.  That’s beyond awesome!

But…really?

This weekend was a disaster, I ate too much, I drank too much, I didn’t work out enough.  Basically everything that could go wrong, did.  At one point over the weekend the scale was even back up to 239…239!!!!! So despite eating right, running almost 6 miles, and drinking a sh*t ton of water yesterday, I was still expecting some gain.

And I was even prepared to laugh it off, and jokingly blame everyone else for it but myself (like my friends who wanted to go out and drink Friday AND Saturday, and my sister who had the audacity to turn 12 over the weekend and had a birthday dinner, for example…).  I was going to be totally okay with some gain this week, instead of throwing a shit fit, because sometimes life just happens and there are more important things than the number on the scale.

So f*ck you scale, for screwing up my potential moment of clarity (but really thank you for being nice to me this week after all).

So yeah, I lost another pound somehow…WOOT!!!

In a totally unrelated note…have you seen my glasses?  They’ve been MIA for a couple days now, and I am really REALLY started to realize how blurry my world is without them.  I’m pretty sure they are in my room somewhere, and I know they are in the hard plastic case (WooT protection). But I’m in the midst of a major cleaning, so my room is kind of disasteresque, and I have no idea where they are.  Search and rescue dogs are in route…
