I want to write, and I actually have a decent amount to write about, but my mind is a total jumble right now and I can’t get it out. WTF!!!!

I’ll try this again later, but in the meantime…

…How are you?

How was your weekend?

Don’t be shy, you are among friends. You guys are my support system and a large part of my past and future successes are because of and dependent on you, so I’d like to know what’s going on in your world.  And not ALL of you are bloggers, so I’d really have no other way of knowing…

    Hey chief.

My weekend is going… well… hrm. I just suppose it’s going.

To pass the time I’m going through a Doctor Who marathon (the new stuff) despite not really being into this show. Although now that I’ve just finished two seasons, I’d have to say it’s pretty interesting!

Working out has been non-existant due to a lack of food. There’s probably some sob story in there so I’m holding back from telling it. On the upside (if you can call it that), I’ve definitely dropped a few pounds from last week. I’ll most likely post about it tomorrow.

Hopefully things are going well with you.

All in all this weekend has been going pretty well so far. It’s a long 4 day weekend for me, and while I like all the time at home with the fam – and NOT at work – it gives me ample opportunity to overeat. We went out to Valentine’s Day brunch with my wife’s family this morning, and I actually managed to eat pretty well and not completely gorge myself. But I’ve still got 2 more days…

I wish you luck on getting out of your writing funk – I hope to hear more from you soon!

    • Steve says:

Hopefully you rocked the rest of the weekend, as I’m sure you did. It was a 3 day weekend for me, I’m glad to be back to work, as wierd as that sounds.

My weekend is already finished and I’m at home on Monday evening. I’m away presenting at Microsoft seminars for the next two days and it’s going to be a challenge to get my runs in and to eat right.

    • Steve says:

Microsoft seminars? That soudns interesting. I’m wouldn’t worry about trying to eat right or get your runs in, I’m sure there will be no issue.

I think I have lifefreeze. I have all my ducks in a row to come on strong and handle everything I’ve got to do – INCLUDING eat less and move more – but darnit if it ever turns out right. Because it snows or someone gets sick or I have 3 papers due in one weekend plus 2 exams to study for or I go to the bowling alley for a kids birthday party and somehow end up eating everybody’s leftover chicken strips and fries. And there may have been an incident with a 12 pack of Stella Saturday.

Anywho. Things are fine. It’s monday. Back to the grind. How are your new tires?

    • Steve says:

I hear ya on the lifefreeze, but I have no doubt you’ll get on track, especially being prepared to do it. WooT!

      I had a Saturday incident too…with Bud Light :)

  5. Valentine’s Day brunch was a bit of a challenge but I did OK, just OK. Helps using a small plate!

So far so good into the work week – I’m at a hotel but went grocery shopping last night and have some good food to get me by for a couple of days.

Small plates DEFINITELY help. Thats good that you went grocery shopping for the hotel stay, most would use that as an excuse to eat out constantly.

My weekend was fine until the Daytona 500 had pothole delays. I’m pissed and embarrassed as a longtime fan.

Anyway, as far as your brain freeze goes, I have found that just writing a post with a bunch of bullet items helps get a lot out at once and it doesn’t make for a super long post. Or I find that one of my bullet points becomes a post.

    • Steve says:

I haven’t watched much NASCAR in years, but I saw the thing about the potholes, and I thought that was pretty pathetic.

I’ve done bullet point posts in the past, I actually love doing them, I was just having issues getting my thoughts together with them as well. It was weird.

Well, the weekend didn’t start so well here. My 5-year old had an allergic reaction to something and he spent Friday night: a) throwing a temper tantrum over taking a baking soda bath, b) taking not one, but three baking soda baths to relieve the itch, c) slathering anti-itch cream in between baths, d) throwing a temper tantrum over cherry benadryl because we’re out of bubble gum, and e) finally passing out at 11pm. That Benadryl hit him good, and by 11pm, Mom needed a good shot of something and a few beers, but I didn’t.

Saturday and Sunday were good! Lots of grocery shopping, cleaning, and Olympics watching! Hope you get out of your writing funk soon! Thinkin ’bout ya!

  8. I had a great weekend. I got to sleep in and make reduced fat gravy. My wife and I went to see “The Princess and the Frog.” I’d recommend it. Tonight is my first weigh-in in two weeks and I have no idea what to expect.

I write down ideas for future blog posts on a ledger so if I get brain freeze I can reference it. Good luck getting over your writers block.

My weekend was pretty good. I finished work on my mustang (replacing fuel pump), exercised a lot, and maybe lost a pound. :)

    Nothing major. :)

My world right now sucks! We had some family trauma news last week which hogged the whole week with major stress and non sleep. We did get some good news in relation to it last night so hopefully today can be salvaged and the family can enjoy the day no matter what we decide to do.

I’m glad you were able to get some good news in regards to the family trauma, but it all still sucks. I hope you were able to salvage your day.

  11. The weekend was good – fun, but not the best with the eating. Okay, fine, if you must know there was a pint of Ben & Jerry’s involved. And sweet and sour chicken. But there was also much chasing of kids (niece & nephews), sleep deprivation, banana bread (in moderation), trampoline jumping, and an 80s party. So…on the whole, the word “good” is accurate. Today I’m great – the Seattle sunshine is helping! How’s the brain freeze going?

I went on a really great hike on Sunday morning. It turned out to be nine miles. The weather was beautiful and so was the scenery. I was only a little concerned about the number of alligators around.

I was not one of the lucky ones, and I had to return to work yesterday. I so much would have liked a three-day weekend.

I wouldn’t have minded going back to work yesterday, next time I’ll give you my day off :)

I’m glad you had a good hike, 9 miles is awesome, and nice weather and scenary only makes it better.
