…110 minutes and 30 seconds of cardio…
…HOLY CRAP!
.
Another #amerryworkoutpledge down, WOOHOO!
I just completed my portion of the challenge, and I think it’s safe to say that my ass is officially kicked. I ran for last months challenge but wanted to change it up a bit for this month, so I went with the exercise bike. I usually only do 10-15 minutes at a time on the bike, so this would definitely be…different.
All in all, it wasn’t that bad! My ass hurts, which was expected, and my legs feel a bit like jello, but it was a good experience and it went by really fast! I still feel like I was cheating on running though, but I’ll get over that, it’s good to have a nice mix
I completed the challenge and rode 27.6 miles. Is that a lot? I honestly have NO IDEA. I don’t have alot of biking experience so I don’t know what to gauge it against. It’s more than a marathon worth of riding though, so it can’t be that bad
And like before, here is my sweaty after pic…

Again, sexy, right? The bike beside me is the one I used for the challenge. The people in the background are, well, people in the background
HOW DID YOU DO?
Some of you are in the process of completing the challenge, others are completing it tomorrow or over the weekend or whatever. It’s all awesome regardless, and I want to know how you did! Once you have finished, let me know the following:
- Type of activity completed
- Mileage (if you did the bike or treadmill, for example…)
- URL of your challenge followup (if you have a blog and do a follow up post)
I want to gather all of this information and do a followup post with everyones information later, and I don’t want to miss anyone
In the meantime, you can follow everyones progress on twitter! Look for the #amerryworkoutpledge hashtag!
I’m having a lot of fun with this challenge and I hope it continues to grow and travel through the blog community. You guys are awesome!
And now, I need a nap…or at least dinner
Have a great evening!

Awesome job. I have some ideas for this sometime in the future that I’ll share with you sometime soon. While I didn’t “officially” participate, tonight was a little longer workout for me with a 7.2 mile run in 66 minutes.

That’s an awesome run! Can’t wait to hear what you’re ideas are, anything that can make this better is cool with me
Awesome job Steve! I am “looking forward” to my intense session with cardio on Friday. Thanks for hosting this! I can’t wait to read other #amerryworkoutpledge recaps!
Me neither! Every aspect of this challenge is exciting
Good luck with your cardio!
That is awesome that you were able to do that. And you’re looking strong, man. The working out is paying off big time. I want to get involved in one of these, but I’m not sure how to do it…considering all I am already trying to finish out.
You have a shit ton on your plate already, if you could incorporate this that would be great, but it’s not like you aren’t doing something otherwise!
Great Job! I love the Twitter aspect of this challenge. This community ROCKS!
Challenges are my new love. It really motivates me and gives me a short term goal. I already have a Challenge scheduled for Friday. My students have sumeritis right now so I developed a Student Challenge. I have pledged that I will do a minute on the treadmill for every correct answer on a 4 question Geography Test. I’m very excited about this challlenge. The kids are jazzed and have stated that I’m going down. I hope they do really well.
I’ll run A Merry Workout Pledge on Saturday.
Oh wow! How awesome is that to be able to incorporate your students into a challenge!?! That is so cool!
Good luck on Saturday!
AWESOME work man, you guys really rocked this one! I was super bummed that I had to sit this one out because of my bum ankle – next time, I promise!

It’s good that you didn’t try to overdo it, could have messed up that ankle even more. Now you just gotta double whatever the number is for next month

Good luck with yours this weekend!
Alright, I’m done w/ 60 minutes. Life got in the way of the last 50:30 last night.
Tonight, I will be finishing my 50:30, but I am also adding time for the 29 comments (yes, TWENTY NINE) I posted yesterday! So I’m adding 14:30 to my time today! What can I say? I’m a commentwh0re.
I just realized that comment was REALLY self absorbed. My bad. That sweaty pic is DEAD sexy, especially after that kinda mileage! Sorry to hear your @$$ hurts and that your legs felt like Jello, you better today? Hope so.
Oh please…I WANT to know how everyone else is doing with it

The people in the background are…people in the background. Earth shattering, I may never be the same again. hee hee. OK, so you already know, but I’ll tell ya again cuz I’m a little proud of it: I biked, did 40.8 miles, and here’s my recap post: http://katdoesdiets.blogspot.com/2010/04/merry-workout-pledge-done.html
Awesome job everyone!!!
Wow! That is such a great distance, you should feel so proud of yourself for being able to complete it! The workout pledge is such a great empowerment tool, if you can visualize everyone else getting through their workouts it really does inspire you to complete yours too!
I finished! Biked. 28.04 miles. Sweated buckets. It was awesome. Congrats for kicking ass on yours
