Posting a little later than usual. I doubt I screwed up anyone’s reading schedules (although I do go well with the morning crap, I think
), but I apologize if I did. I delayed posting by a few hours only because I didn’t want to jinx myself in regards to one particular goal…
HUNDRED PUSHUPS / TWO HUNDRED SITUPS / TWO HUNDRED SQUATS

…and this was that goal. I actually completed it (this time!). WooT!
I totally completed Week 1 of The One Hundred Pushups Challenge, Week 1 of The Two Hundred Situps Challenge, and Week 3 of The Two Hundred Squats Challenge. I was in Week 3 of 200squats because my initial test placed me there, so WooT to lower body strength.
For those of you who paid attention, this was my second attempt this month, so I started at the beginning. The Pushups were alot easier this time around, which kind of rocks. Day 3 of the squats was a bitch, so I considering repeating the week, but the man behind the challenges, Steve Speirs, said I should be okay to move on to Week 4. Since he created them, I guess he’d know best, eh?
I’m still trying to think of a good way to log these challenges for the updates post. Since the 5th rep for each day is supposed to be a max rep, maybe just post that number, I don’t know. Ugh. I’m open to suggestions though, it just seems weird to merely sum it up in paragraph form.

PERFECT 10 CHALLENGE

And here is my Perfect 10 update for the week.
Steve is also asking we post something that noone knows about us, so here goes: My very first job was playing the mall Easter Bunny. My mom’s friend was in charge of the display for Exton Square Mall outside of Philadelphia and I was conned into spending a couple weekends up there and playing the part. I won’t lie…it SUCKED, but I paid well for a 15 year old ($8 bucks an hour…YES!). The first year (yes, I did this for several years after) was the easiest though, because the mall was undergoing renovations so we were in a storefront, as opposed to the following years, when I was in a major walkway, under HUGE skylights. The obnoxious kids were tolerable to an extent, but in the hot suit, under a frickin’ SKYLIGHT was torture. I did it though, but apparently I wasn’t the best bunny. The only suit they had had an apron, which means I was supposedly a girl bunny, but I kept sitting on the chair slouched down with my legs open. Skanky bunny
HABIT.A.WEEK CHALLENGE
Lyn from Escape from Obesity is hosting a Habit.A.Week Challenge. The goal is easy enough, to make a small change each work in order to live a healthier lifestyle. The “habit” this week is Self Love.
I’m working on this, but it’s getting easier. I’m looking at myself in the mirror in the mornings and I’m actually kind of seeing a difference in the way I look. I like it. I don’t want to go into more depth only because I was actually going to devote a blog post to this idea next week (assuming I have another good weigh in to keep the mojo going). Lyn keeps beating me to the punch with this stuff!!!
And I do believe that is all I have today. Nothing too exciting going down this weekend, for me anyway. How are you all doing with your goals?
Have a great day. TGIF!
Btw…I had mistakenly labeled last weeks challenge update as #8, when it was actually #7. I’m a dumbass when it comes to numbering things, but none of you caught it (or at least didn’t say anything) either, so HA!!!
Another day, another dollar (WooT PAYDAY!!!), another Challenges Update…
HUNDRED PUSHUPS / TWO HUNDRED SITUPS / TWO HUNDRED SQUATS

Abort, Retry, FAIL!
I never got to Week 2, mainly because I never finished Week 1. Last week into early this week was a bonafide UGH, and once I started getting back on track it seemed really too late to try to get a full week in (and I’d rather do this by calender weeks to keep track of it easier).
No matter, I’m restarting next week, and I WILL FINISH.

PERFECT 10 CHALLENGE

And here is my Perfect 10 update for the week. Oy, coming down to the wire with this one…
Steve is also asking we post something that noone knows about us, so here goes: I didn’t get my drivers license until I was 20. At first I really wanted it ASAP, I even got my learners permit at 15. But eventually I just got used to walking or getting rides, and at that time if I wanted drivers ed classes I’d have to pay for them myself (300ish dollars, ugh). I finally took drivers ed at 18, but failed the driving test first time around, and got used to walking (or getting rides) again. Finally, my supervisor let me practice in his truck, and I tried again, two years later, and passed. I bought my first car a month later (2004 Scion xA), and wrecked it a month and day after that. WooT (that was a sarcastic one…)
HABIT.A.WEEK CHALLENGE
Lyn from Escape from Obesity is hosting a Habit.A.Week Challenge. The goal is easy enough, to make a small change each work in order to live a healthier lifestyle. The “habit” this week is to PORTION CONTROL!!!
As I said before, I started calorie counting this week, which is about as portion controlled as you can get
I’m sticking with it so far, as well as sticking with my Blacklist, so I think I’ll wait until my next weigh in to see how well I’m doing with this goal…
.
IN OTHER NEWS…

I got my glasses! How do I look? The frames cost almost 300 dollars (Armani Exchange, STYLIN’) so hopefully I don’t look like a total doofus. I need another haircut though. Ugh.
AND, AND…
I’m trying my hand at Curling this weekend. The Potomac Curling Club is having an open house for people to come in and try things out, so my friend signed us up. We’ll see how well I do…
What are YOUR weekend plans? Hope you all have a good one!!
TGIF…finally. The week of Blizzard 2010 has been dragging…
…but without further ado, here is my weekly Challenge Update.
HUNDRED PUSHUPS / TWO HUNDRED SITUPS / TWO HUNDRED SQUATS

I kind of did something stupid. In checking out each challenge, I didn’t really do as much research as I should, particular in regards to what is considered “good form” for each of these challenges. I’ve been doing the situps and the squats correctly, but apparently the “perfect form” situps are more of a crunch then they are an actual sit up. With that said, I will be completed Week 1 Day 3 for the Pushups, and Week 3 Day 3 (starting at Week 3 instead of Week 1 based upon my initial test results). for the Squats, but I will be redoing the initial test for the Situps and restarting on Monday. I want to thank Kat for bringing this to my attention
For the purpose of recording here, I will go ahead and post the results of my 5th set for each day, where you try to do as many as you can. Also, since I post in the morning and don’t usually do these workouts until the afternoon, I may have to update later.
-
One Hundred Pushups Week 1: Day 1 Max: 7 // Day 2 Max: 10 // Day 3 Max: TBA
-
Two Hundred Situps Week 1: Day 1 Max: 10 // Day 2 Max: 13 // Day 3 Max: TBA (will be redoing initial test for this challenge)
-
Two Hundred Squats Week 3: Day 1 Max: 30 // Day 2 Max: 40 // Day 3 Max: TBA
PERFECT 10 CHALLENGE

And here is my Perfect 10 update for the week:
Steve is also asking we post something that noone knows about us, so here goes: I was once dared to, and ate, a lemon wedge. Big deal, right? Well, this was not just any lemon wedge, mind you, this lemon wedge was covered in sugar, sweet-n-low, salt, and pepper, then dipped in a mixture of soda, honey mustard, ketchup and barbecue sauce. This event took place at Denny’s after High School Graduation rehearsal. I still do stupid sh*t like that from time to time
HABIT.A.WEEK CHALLENGE
Lyn from Escape from Obesity is hosting a Habit.A.Week Challenge. The goal is easy enough, to make a small change each work in order to live a healthier lifestyle. The “habit” this week was to start eating more healthy fat, as in use less vegetable and corn oil, and more canola or olive oil.
The only oil I use when cooking is Olive Oil, mainly because that’s all we have, but still. Even then, I try to avoid using oil as much as possible and use alot of cooking sprays. My problem is that there hasn’t been much of ANY cooking going on recently.
