Hello, and happy July 4th everyone!

Alot of pretty awesome things have happened on this day throughout history, The Declaration of Independence was signed, Alice in Wonderland was published, Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum helped defeat the alien invasion

…and I have decided to get my life back…

…again.

For those of you who follow my blog, you know it’s been a pretty rough couple of months.  I resolved to make things better come June, but in the end that didn’t really amount of anything.  While I did have some great times these past couple months, and I accomplished A LOT, I’m afraid I’ve just about gained back almost all of the weight I’ve lost since the beginning (will post the official weight on Tuesday though, as always).

I’m ashamed of that, but I don’t want to dwell on it, and I’d like very much to move forward.  For the past few months I let emotional/boredom/stress eating get the best of me, and overall I did very little as far as working out goes.

But that ends today.  I am declaring my independence from obesity (corny, but go with it) and I am getting my life back.

WooT!

Regular weigh ins will be coming back on Tuesdays (no skipping), and I will be doing more with weekly goals for myself.  I also need to think about my overall goals and what I’d ultimately like to see come out of my life.  It won’t be easy (it never is), and I will probably still have slip ups, but hopefully this time around they won’t knock me completely off track.

Progress Report: Week 28
Weight: 230.0lbs
BMI: 33.5
Weight loss so far:  .2 lbs lost since last week, 35 lbs lost total

Look ma, weight loss!

My only complaint is that I apparently gained .2 lbs after my shower, because it was reading 229.8 for a few brief moments :-P

All in all, coming off of a 6lb loss last week, I’ll take it.  A loss is a loss :)

And frankly, this week, I couldn’t have really given a crap anyway. I’m still a bit high off of the Holy crap you’re running a half marathon and you ran another 5k buzz, so for this week in particular, the number really IS just a number.

So what’s in store for this week?  A bit more C25K, a bit more running in general…maybe some hill running, and just all around trying to go through each day as awesomely as possible :)

WooT, right? :)

Things are looking good and I am feeling GREAT right now.  Been back on track with the weight loss  for a few weeks now, and I finally have a good number to go with it.  I’ve been running like crazy, and I’ve actually incorporated some strength training.

I know I still have a long way to go, and I know that it hasn’t taken much to derail me before, but I think I got it this time.  I really do.

I also have some kinda big news (well, big news for me anyway) to announce in the next couple days.  Those who pay attention my ramblings on Twitter might know what it is, but I’m going to make it official soon!  WooT!
